Simple Steps to Spiritual Living have not been easier...so read till the end. You will be thanking me...trust
Great day to you and blessings! I am confident that your journey has brought you here and I am glad that it did. A spiritual lifestyle isn't just waking up one day and BOOM, your on a spiritual journey or a better life. This type of change is something that you either dedicate your all into or stay the way you are. It is really that simple, but the process can be challenging, frustrating at times and can make you feel like giving up on even keep it up. But there is still hope.
Firstly know this. That you have came to this article by no coincidence or a bout of good luck. Know that there is no such things as those, even if you have been told something different all your life. Your soul is literally pointing out that certain parts of your life need improvement(you probably said to yourself that this is an understatement, for sure). No worries, I will give you some simple steps to a more spiritually active lifestyle that will impact you for the better.
Secondly, know that you actually, believe it or not, that you have almost full control of what is going on in your life and how things go for the duration. The part that you don't have any control over is that things will always happen in Divine Timing and no when you want it or need it the most in your mind. Yes, this is a hard concept to take in and integrate with, but rest assured, your life will be ever more positive, productive and fulfilling if you take simple step to living a more spiritual lifestyle.
Now for some statistics.....Hold on to your seat....Hear we go!
- Around 80% of the world’s population identifies with a religious group, and roughly 20% identify as affiliated with one religion or another.
- In the US alone, a little over 30% of adults identify specifically as spiritual but not religious, while about 47% identify as religious.
- In the world today there are about 1 to 2 billion people who are religiously "unaffiliated" (identifying as titles like that of atheists, agnostics, or "not really religious at all"). This group is the third-largest "religious" demographic globally, behind Christianity and Islamic beliefs followers.
- Breathing in the right way, doing it correctly, activates the Vagus Nerve, which triggers your parasympathetic nervous system. Which is said to assist with regulating the heart, decreases the cortisol in your body for weight management and even breathing from your diaphragm that is said to help with things like breathing problems and COPD.
- The use of Deep Breathing Techniques(4-4-4 or 4-7-8 patterns: In through nose, hold, breathing out of mouth) will also assist in calming and reducing stress, relieves anxiety and can aid in falling asleep faster.
So with you knowing this information, you know now that you are not alone in the world in any way, shape or form if you are one that considers yourself spiritual but has no specific "belief system" to speak of that matches what you believe. Now let's get to what I can suggest to you in order to get this started in your life.....Let's go!
Things you do right away:
- Keep in mind that even if you consider yourself to be only SPIRITUAL, that is all you need to do is believe in something that is higher or more powerful than any one or anything on this planet, you got a good start.
- Take a time out when life gets to be too much.
- Learn that saying NO is also a form of spiritual energy protection.
- Remind yourself daily that you are a spiritual being living in a fleshy vessel.
- Get into a habit of telling yourself that everything is temporary and that bad times don't last forever.
